the tail end of the cyclone is still heading South,

Might be staying that way for a while too.

I'm in Rocky and tomorrow we will be cut of completely with the river rising to a predicted 8.7m in the next few days and the 'experts' are saying 200mm of rain in the next two days[:0]

came home last week around 11pm as I normally do. heard we had a storm but didn't hear even a crack of thunder while I was at work (about 20min away) down the highway, nothing, pull into the first street.. ooh some branches down must have been windy.. pull into my street about half a k up. LOL bus shelter is FLAT aahaha.. swing into my driveway BRAAAAKES.. half a gum tree... detour thru our mushy (fucked) front yard) missus just got home.. no power. tree on the car port, fences down etc.. walk around the side of my house - 2 garden sheds that WERE behind the house are now all out in the front yard and up against the house (just moved my bike around the corner. 2 sheds full of bike and car resto stuff, interior panels glass, vintage bike shit. gearboxes, spare engines.. all full of water. pissing down rain for 3 days straight after..
it was literally a 1km wide mini cyclone, every house in this street was annihilated huge trees either snapped from the top, or completely uprooted.
this week.
FUCKED OFF, had 5 days off for xmas and couldn't even hit the beach. I only just bought gumboots today, everyone sold out so they are too big!. I went a week without wearing shoes lol.
our yard is so sandy and wet the ground flex's as you walk or drive on it, and water spurts out. bogged the 4x4 down to the diffs..

I don't even remember what a sunny day looks like!
can finally get out of town tho.. not that you'd want to - fuckin roads are like the surface of the mooon.

we went ages ago, late 90's. fuckin sluts everywhere. hot hippy sluts if your into that kind of thing, but we never interacted with any of them and somehow all of us caught nits - they stink to the dirty fucks (The campers), and there was some fuckin drum tent there that went for 24hrs. as soon as someone passed out or fell asleep they were dragged off and then some other space cadet took his spot hehe.
But other than that it was still pretty rad. some spun artists thats for sure. I don't remember where it gets its FOLK part from cause there was heaps of new artists.. its all kind of.. alternative I think. worth a look if you have never been anyway.

EXCELLENT.
Love it.

(Bob Hawke looked like he did too)

Dozen's of different types of music,
Comedy, side shows, stalls, every type of food I could name,
and everyone was having a great time in the mud.

Was good to do something different from the "same old same old"

A lot of fun.

Political warning.....

Why the fuck didn't Krudd have the balls to stimulate the economy by providing work for thousands all down the eastern seaboard by consolidating Australias water supply by shipping all of that south? Get it into the Murray Darling basin and guarantee water supply for all 4 states.
Instead Gerry Harvey just got fatter and now whinges that people buy online for a better deal. And we have expensive De-sal plants that are not necessary. This country is rooted by the gutless and useless few that are supposed to represent the majority.

Fuck it I'm off to water my lawn - I'm paying $2.60 a litre for it for the next 28 years but the "Tank water in use" sign cost $2 so the Nazis wont get me.

Back to the program....just felt like yelling at the television.
