Does anyone know how interchangeable the GPZ 600/750 exhausts are?
I want to go 4-1 on my 600 and the 750 pipes are cheap and plentiful!

Streets, I've had a bit of mucking around with GPZ's over the years and from what I can gather, the GPZ750R of 1985 on, is the same as the GPZ900R. However the 1985 on, GPZ600 used the same donk as the later GPX600. A new lighter liquid cooled motor compared to the bigger 750/900. So no!

Timing is often everything I guess. I'm shipping a set of 600 headers this morning . Had a check of them against my 750 and they ain't gunna fit without major surgery. And I mean major.

cont...The common GPZ750 pipes you are seeing advertised are most likely not even from the 85 gpz750r but from the GPz750ZX the earlier Unitrak 750 which ran an air/oil cooled motor(these motors were bigger again!). These bikes sold like hot cakes whereas the later watercooled 750r didn't sell 'cos they were the same weight as the 900 but with less performance!!!
Here endith the lesson.
