yeah, i wouldn't say its 25k worth. Nice looking bike and all... but you could get yourself a nice exotic bike to play with for that kind of money.

It has prenty of bling, but.....

I'd hand over the spondoolie being asked for The Judge (if I had it) before I paid dorras rike that for that.

It just lacks that edge. Still if you could afford it why not................

If that things worth $25k someone ring Rob with offers over $20k Please..

Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the hard work involved with making such bike, I'm no expert but I can't see $25k of bike and bling there.. at all..

Surely this Part time employee/Owner knows how much of a niche market fighters are and asking that coin is silly.. is he trying to recuperate every cent spent???

Now with K5 GSXR 1000 forks, Brembo Master, R1 Monoblock calipers and Elka Rear Shock, Just a thought people..

Lol... your kidding right.. and the BC blade isn't chock full of bolt ons???? Be it Attack, BC, Rizoma, Roaring toyz etc.. I admit its a awesome bit of kit, but so is Robs.. you have to admit they are very very comparable.. bikes like Judge or Venom (which went for $20k) are in a league of there own this I feel is not.. But my 2 cents vs You being a slighty defensive ex employee could go on forever mate.. no disrespect intended.. [B)]

i am going to agree with scotty on this one ...unless you have seen that blade in the flesh you wouldnt even notice the finer details and i reckon its pretty poor form to be bagging out one of our own MEMBERS aswell i see this on ASF all the time and i think it shows utter fucking disrespect to the owner/builder .....its always hard to sell a fighter considering the work that goes into them and it is even harder to put a price on them ......lets face facts it IS professionally BUILT and therefore alot easier to sell for a higher price than a bike built in a shed .....you have to look at it from an average JOE BLOW point of view

end fucking rant

Fuckin hell Master Blaster I think its an ace lookin bike just needs more Suzuki parts on it and clipons are that little bit of the tupper ware some people have alot of trouble letting go of to take the final leap of faith into the world of Streetfighters.
By the way good work Brad as usual and good luck with your sale Dan.

Joke about clips ons, pointy tail or suzuki parts are hardly harsh..

No doubt this is one weapon of a bike and a proper built one at that...

This just isn't worth mentioning at all, if it were you and you had your bike for sale on this forum and we all jumped on there and said it isn't worth what you were asking for it you'd be pretty shitty.

Who cares what it is worth? All that matters is what someone will pay. If he sells it then well done, if he doesn't then maybe he will lower the price or just keep hold of it.

15-12-2010, 06:19 AM
i remember it getting nearly 20k of paint on it...(only the swinger) let alone the motur work, $400 leavers,1 off exh, blahhhh
not being defensive mate just saying...
and tar... it is all ur fault

xa-mont
15-12-2010, 06:41 AM
not to be a cock... but how the fuck does paint on any bike cost 20k unless it is some amazing custom airbrush work?

You would be hard pressed to pay 20k for good paint on a car.

scotty
15-12-2010, 09:18 AM
well 20 k is only a little bend of the truth.......
what i ment is(u can take this literally but not much else i say....)
he spent nearly 2 sproratic(no i curnt spell) weeks polishing then decided to paint it. when painted(black chrome...not cheap....) wanted another colour.
so striped, polished again and repainted some funkey copper chrome stuff...(even more expensive than the black jobbie). end result is sexyness.but hexxiy.

I am by no means justifying, condemning , slagging or anything just tellin is all. feel free to form your own opinion.... I have.

My opinion really dosent mean shit cos i thought the ozfighter sold for too much but if he can get what he got then dan should allready be spendin that 25k...

One of my favourite bikes, nice aggressive lines and your typical high standard Bike Craft workmanship. I remember falling in love with it at the Sydney Bike Show a couple of years ago and it actually inspired me to remove the flat bars and go back to clip-ons on my ZX9R. Good luck with the sale mate.

"IS professionally BUILT and therefore alot easier to sell for a higher price than a bike built in a shed"
Sorry dont agree with this one !!! Whats wrong with bike built in the shed ?
Some people put a lot of time and blood, sweat and money to build their bikes even if it is in the shed. And its their baby. And some just hand it over to "Professionals" and write a blank check.
Every one will have an opinion on the bike.... I think its a great bike, not my cup of tea, but what ever its worth the money depends on how much some one is willing to pay. :) Just look at the housing market :(

My 711 that is now resting in pieces was built by Ben at extreme, and over the 10 years or so that i had it, I probably spent about $30k on it. I have the ideas for what I wanted, but not the talent.I sourced most parts myself on the net or at the wreckers, and I paid Ben for his talent to make parts for one bike fit another, and for totally one off parts.
The thing is, if you made a note of how much time is spent in the shed making your own, and then charged yourself $100 an hour, everyone on this site would be riding big budget fighters.

Just because the owner didn't build it doesn't make it a shit bike. And most professionally built bikes aren't someone handing over a blank cheque. If they were, people wouldn't be working 6 days a week. They'd be spending time on their yachts in the bahamas.

see what you dont realise is that the owner of that bike is an asf member and has been for quite a while so what i meant to say is pretty well what jacktar has already stated on the previous page and bikecraft are also members here... look at how much time they have put into that bike ...not so long ago the question came up about what a good fighter is worth and in my opinion i reckon fuck it name your price find another bike exactly the same elsewhere its a one of a kind ...all fighters are ...it will be harder to find a buyer but someone will come along eventualy

thats not quite what i meant.. what i meant to say was to the average joe it would appear to be the better buy cos it is built by a professional and not by a backyarder and im not knocking backyard jobs by any means but you have to look at it from a avereage joe point of view

I realise Bike Craft is an ASF member, I wasn't aware the Owner was.. that aside I don't feel I showed utter fucking disrespect to the owner whether they are a member or not.. some of the stuff I've seen said on here and I get cited for saying I don't think it's worth 25k.. seriously..

End of the day nice bike, great workmanship, it's worth what someones willing to pay..

i hope it sells for that sort of money, i wish ben could sell judge for 100k, at least that would mean there is a market for quality product.

it really is a well built bike although not to my tastes. the paint work i think is great.

i no we might all say 'give me 25k and i will build something better or just as good' but the thing is we mostly view this as a hobby and therefore value our time at $0.

i couldn't tell you how many hours i have spent sittting on my bar stool just looking at my turbo bike trying to nut out what i am going to do with a certin part. if you are paying someone an hourly rate then the bills soon add up.

i also agree that professional built bikes would sell better than home built. just think about how many times people name drop.

what sounds better?

For sale: 1 streetfighter built by Deano in his shed $10,000

or

For sale: 1 streetfighter built by Ben Shaw of Extreme Creations fame, thats right the guy that brought you Judge, Venom, 8/8 and so on. $10,000

give me the Ben Shaw built bike any day (or bike craft for that matter)

my 2 cents

it WAS amazing custom airbrushwork I ve seen this bike up close and theres a lot of detail and hours of paintwork
to put it into
perspective bens venom went for 20k if i remember right and although that was a spectacular bike this ones better

i mean theres 1000+bucks just airbrushing a helmet [minus of course the base paint]

fimpBIKES
17-12-2010, 11:29 AM
at the end of the day whether its shed built or shop built it wont have any warranty

it comes down to inspecting the thing and looking at how wiring etc is done
a bike asking for dollars like this should AT LEAST be put together to the level of detail of a brand new bike

as for "customs", i think all who were at the gold-coast bike show in '07 know how stupid they can be
(a $50k bike that drains it battery overnight....)

RevHead

i think its what a punter wants to pay for it ,,beauty is in the eye of the beholder,if it appeals to a certain person ,then they are willing to pay for it,,
also i dont give a shit if u guys dont like my bike but i wouldnt sell it for anything less then $10 grand if i sold it,,which i never will sell as i spent thousands of hour and cash on building;,its insured with shannons for $9800 agreed value and if i smash it i get 1st option to buy it back

The thing about fighters is that there are only a few people who can appreciate the cost / worth / value of a high end example (that's us ;)). All the others see it as a 2nd hand bike that's priced higher than a new one.....

And none of us would buy a completed fighter because half the fun is in building it yourself :D

Hey guys, do you know what I really like about this forum, its the bikes & the inspiration a newby like me gets from them. The bikes like Judge, Predator down to the back yard built absolutely awesome machines I have seen so far. Plus the fact that everybody can say what the f@#k they like. I hope you all have crap, good or bad to say about my bike when I finish it.
Really be bad if the silence is deafening. The blade can not be that bad boys we are all talking about it & looking at it, Bloody choice in my book.

@ bike craft 20k may not = reality 20k

I had a shit experience with them and got my bike built by an average joe in a shed for half the money and the same outcome. If i paid 20 k for that paint id be ready to neck meself............what a crock

Oh and just because someone sinks 30 -40 gorillas into a bike doesnt mean the bike is worth 30-40 k
