Ok...time to get busy [}:)] You all know whats been happenin so straight to the build...
Plan is to replace the Gazi rear shocks with some 12" ones (Ozzy1100 has first dibs). I will then drop the legs up into the thick top yolk to lower the front end (checking oil cooler clearance first)
Luckily we had shortened the exhaust headers an inch (on the custom bike) so plenty of clearance.
Suprisingly the yokes went straight on...all I need to do is mill out 5mm or so from the underside of the top yoke for the lock nut.
The carbon Z tail unit has been split up the middle, section removed and re-glassed together..the plan is a black/red/gun metal colour scheme with a GT stripe to hide the join line if necessary..
The undertray I had made has been trimmed to fit and the subframe from the custom frame welded on.
I will be using 2 twin inlet pods with a carbon shroud to smooth the air flow around them.
Seat will be by VCM...and loooow...frame rails are 680mm which is both feet on the ground with knees bent....:)

tell u what russ that acewell and pod look better
with the flater profile of the seat unit and dare i say it
those bars look better as well a little more hard tail in looks....
is that the tail at the 12" mark as u where saying ?

Yes mate, the ali struts are drilled at 12" centres. I also drilled at 10" and 9" to suss out clearance. The Gazi's have 65mm travel so 9"strut gives 75mm travel...more than enough...and the rear wheel still clears the undertray.
Only thing that doesn't clear is the R1 number plate/indicator mount but thats no drama as it was only for the 'legal' build.

Woohoo......got it running.....
Might not sound like much but this is the first time I have wired a bike from scratch instead of just modifying the stock harness.
The other headache has been the oil cooler.....I have fitted a thermostat
for faster warm up....lowering the bike caused a few clearance issues
