I finally have the bike that I've always wanted, still needs some little finishing touches and eventually a big bore kit but I am very happy with the current product.

Absolutely beautiful.
Wonderfully crafted. A superb example of how they should look.
Now send some an email to Rapid and get it pictured in the mag mate.
It deserves to be in there and will give us a reason to buy it...

love the headlight unit, and the carbon tail is sweet too.
love the headers and underslung pipe too!
one sticking point for me is the shock res. line. couldnt you relocate the res. to run the line in a neater way?
cheers.joe.

If I want to pull the shock out and send it back thay will relocate the line, shorten it or do wha ever I want but at a cost of course. After soo much work I just want to ride it and enjoy it now. Maybe down the line it might get stripped down again and thing like that and the rear brake line will get sorted. Even as it is I still really like it.

Thanks guy's, the headlight has done wonders for it. I finally feel happy enough to stop spending money on it for a while !
For a little while anyway!

Don't hate me Mozza but I reckon the headlight unit needs to come back 1" & down 1". closer to how you had it in the mock up pics. I know sometimes this isn't possible but it looks like you have the room. Other than that this is my favourite bandit.Still needs some reservoirs tho....;)

Hey Mozza, that is one awesome looking bike mate! You should be very proud! If you want to get rid of the pillion seat for a seat cowl, I have an original 07 R6 black unit spare to top it off.

Totally agree with you there Ben, problem was that it interferred with the throttle cables which made the throttle mech stick on, also it made it hard to get the angle correct between the gauge and the fork leg angle. This set-up ended as a bit of a compromise, I had a mate help me out and it took us 6 hrs to get this done. It was a prick of a set-up, doesnt look hard but this guy built me headers in 10hrs !

I do need resovoirs, just need to save some money and then get them done. Really should get them on before sending some pics out to streetfighter mag.
I must admit, when we got the headlight right we were a bit over trying to mod it again for a slight gain. Slack I know, but it does look pretty good in the flesh

Ah yes I've had that prob before.
Did you try winding in the adjuster on the throttle cable a tad to give more inner cable slack, sometimes this helps when rerouting cables & things tighten up.

Mozza, your not trying to sell it still are you? Awesome look bike still mate.
awesome result mozza! what the zorst header comes from? any mods to arse end subbie?
mozza
20-12-2011, 08:33 PM
the headers are custom made from stainless, the exhaust is a cut down yoshi titanium tri oval and the arse end in from a 07 Yamaha R6 - been shortened

still for sale mate, but not fussed if it stays, it needed the resovoirs either way. At the price it is now, I'm more than happy to keep it and would have pretty mixed feelings about letting it go for that price.
