Mate of mine is looking at getting one. Probably early 90's - looking at around $4-5K.

What sort of K's would you expect to get out of a petrol / diesel version? I've seen petrol ones with 250k and diesel ones with close to 400k on the clock in that price range.

Are they rooted or will they keep on going??

I sold my last two hiaces with 350k+ on them, one was the older carb version, and the last one a newer fuel injected one,and never had a drama with either.
All i ever did was change oil every 5k,and filter every 10.
They are pretty bulletproof, thats why you pay a premium for them over other vans.

My petrol highlux with the 22r (comon in 90's vans) did 750,000 before deciding it had had enough. Did a head gasket at 370,000 and i thrashed the shit out of it every day from 240,000 till it died.
