BGW have a great sale on for today. 50% off Vortex sprockets.

Thinking of getting a set for the R1. I believe the standard size is 16 and43 teeth, but I want a bit more fun out of the bike. What would be the best 45 or 46 teeth? Should u go up in certain increments? 1 tooth on the front I believe is approx 3 on the back?

Spot On Jules.. I'd go one down on the front, I've done this a few times and was pretty happy with results.. But I know many a person who has gone up 3 on the back.. Its virtually the same thing.. so your choice mate..

Just man it up and go for 18/54 front rear and enjoy the third gear wheel stands...

Go the fucking Vortex rearsets

~$280 bux for quality footpegs with thigh ripping dinglegripberries on them must be better value than the chinkyyoshi ~$280 sets

Id be all over the vortex rearsets, pity they dont do them for a 95 Blade.

Back to Wackys question,if you're replacing both sprockets and chain in the one hit, some people recommend going up on the rear.Chain may be better off for it,coz its not going around such a tight bend, like a smaller front sprocket, and may not wear the chain a quickly.
Some guys reckon the suspension works better aswell???Something about chain pull, blah blah blah.It was alittle over my head when it was explained to me.

If you just want alittle more grunt, without the expense of changing the lot,one down on the front,is a cheap and cheerful mod.

Cheers Gitzy.

Thinking of going down by 1 on the front and up 2 for the rear. Should make it fun to ride
