If your entering post the bike your building in the Build Thread under "NFR SHED BIKE" so we know your actually built it for the run.
Good luck and may I win everything!
OK I happen to have had a 1978 XS650 arrive into my carport late last night and so now I've decided why the fuck not. I'm going to take it to next yrs NFR (funding permitting).
I have already started on making it go. I took a jaunt down to my friendly Yamaha dealer this arvo and purchased a new Battery to replace the one that was in it which had dried up yrs ago, so brake fluid to bleed the brakes, and some other stuff which may or may not work. But I also purchased a new set of plugs so I'm kind of optimistic that with a new battery in there and some fuel it will kick over and do magic fucking.
Oh and I'm already in trouble with the Mrs for wanting to have the bike in the bedroom and the battery on charge in there as well. Apparently the laundry is where the civilised world does these things. Who'd ever have thought???
Anyway here are a couple of pics taken by the previous owner of the bike. More to follow tomorrow when I make a fool out of myself by trying to start the thing!
