I got yelled at by the Mrs when I asked If I could empty the savings account and spend it on said bike.

Told to sell my wagon so I will be. I'm allowed to buy it once the wagon is gone though so its not all bad.

Just need to find a buyer. Doubt it will still be there then though.

6k is a VERY fair and reasonable price, for the work and effort that has gone into it.
I thought you would've been asking for more.
There's a similar bike on this site the owner reckons is worth 10k+.

Nearly 1k of NSW rego, and ready to ride,in time for summer, should see this sell fairly quickly.

You have to build fighters, knowing, when you go to sell it,you aint ever gonna get back what its cost you.

Good luck with the sale.

I'll vouch for it's ridability as Steve allowed me to have a blat after he got it rejetted and tuned on the dyno. Nice and fast

PS
1st dibs on the chrome switch blocks. ;)

Chase,

I feel for you mate having to sell it for so cheap. Once I hit $4K I decided to part Mongrel out instead of dropping my price further. Put an EOI out for anyone that needs parts... but dont release until your sure its worth while. Speak to DCRacing in Toowoomba... he might need some GSXR parts.

Chase

It was sad to see Mongrel get parted out. I don't think I have the time (or heart) to part her out, so with a little luck she'll get a new home in tact.

Not sure about that.
$4000ono tells me the cash is needed elsewhere.
Theres a shitlod of bike there, with good bits all over it,if the cash wasn't urgent, why would you give it away for that price???
Im still shocked it's still here.

I reckon 40 members chuck in $100 we buy it off Chase, and it could be an ASF Project Bike we could all contribute to, not that it needs improving, and then raffle it off.. I want it but I'm $3900 short :(..

This is seriously a steal though Chase, good luck mate.

xa-mont

what about 40 members chuck in $100 for a 1 in 40 chance of getting the bike?

I want this bike so bad, it's just a month too early money-wise.

I'll see if I can borrow some cash and get back to you by the weekend. Even though I can't ride it for a while, i'd hate to see it parted out. I'll just stick it in the loungeroom and stare at it til I can ride again.

I'll take a ticket make that 7.... I do think Chase needs to reply though if he's ok with the 40 ticket idea and if so work out a way to collect the coin and somewhere to do the draw. An idea like 7 days for all tickets to be purchased, otherwise bike back on the market? It's Chase's call though, lets wait for him to reply....

If Sen (or other) isn't interested then maybe this is an option?

I'm happy if it sells... not sure on any legalities but maybe I can sell washers for $100 each (40 of em) and then sell my bike to someone who has a washer for 10c?

Si, would you be happy for me to sell washers here for the next week and donate an "advertising" fee to the running of the site?

xa-mont
21-01-2011, 07:54 AM
ohh ohhh.... i love washers!!!! so much so that i spread them all over my garage floor on the weekend when i was looking for 1.

I'll be up for this to! 1 ticket for me if this goes ahead!

Gix11
21-01-2011, 10:06 AM
Sure Steve, it's fine by me.

We're all based in VIC right (wink wink - http://www.vcgr.vic.gov.au/CA256F800017E8D4/WebObj/C466BBF9B6564A5ECA25701B004400BE/$File/Raffle.pdf) and the value is less than $5000 so we can raffle your bike. $100 a ticket with 40 tickets available and all proceeds go to Chase. Each ticket sold is numbered 1-40 and then a random number is picked at the end and the person asigned to that number wins a GSXR. Simple.

Steve, you're a database man, start a database with 40 entries and collect names, addreses, phone numbers and date sold (you know the drill) for each ticket sold. Then at the end find a random number generator online and find the winner. It's up to you whether you collect the funds first and give them back if $4000 is not reached or whether they pledge the money and once you reach 40 tickets you collect and do the draw.

Keep me in the loop mate.

Cheers
