just thought i better keep the blade on the front page.
Got the wiring diagram sorted and painted the bottle
just about finish the mounting plate for the bottle
got to sort out all the fitment of the spark plug and
nosil for the gas so its going slow but it is going ahead
as planned.very slowly fuckit.

and wiring so hopefully next couple of weeks and we'll be good to go

This is the switch that will control the sucker thanks to Exben
its a matter of flick it to run hit the start button and hopfully
we will have flames.

so its just a matter of ad gas and see what happens.
But theres always a but,now im just trying to get some time to get to bens after work for the unvailing of the flame bike so its just the waiting game for all you blokes now.

Well the news is probly out!
I made my way to bens the other day for the big flame up
and you should have seen it it was a absolute fizzer nothing
happen no flames at all.
First we thought it was the igniter system not lighting it
but we soon put that to rest as Bens butane torch wouldnt light it
from the end of the pipe it actually kept blowing out the torch
as well.
so then we thought it needed more oxygen to make it ignite so we tried
pumping compressed air into the exhaust with no luck.
Then Ben gave me the bad news
"its not going to work the exhaust gases are killing the flame with
to much carbon monoxide and no fire will lite with no oxygen"
So that fucks that idea!
Or does it then he said
"you need to plumb up some fuel into it that dosent need oxygen to
burn it will just ignite"
he came up with an idea for me to do it another way so with a few differnt
mods to the system ive already got, so back to the drawing board for me
and sorce some new bits and some re moding and hopfully it will happen.
So looks like im a tool after all for all the hype so look out iceman
im takeing the crown away next fools run.

Damo, I saw a set up on a car a while back that was fueled by gas (propane I think), he had the bottle stashed in the boot with an igniter in the tailpipe. Threw flames 15 metres past the back of the car, had a few scorch marks on the tail light lenses mind you. But FUCK was it impressive!

no fimp not nos ben steered well clear of that well he did mention it
but quickly changed his mind.

What about joining another pipe to you're exhaust, maybe 1", a few inches forward of the end, under the bodywork. Have it facing forward and open ended. Inject the gas into that. The normal exhaust will suck air (and oxygen) through the tail of the exhaust, as well as the flame, venturi like.

yeah vee thats them but theres a company in aus i think there called custom flame throwers
or something.
they do the same sort of kits,they say you just rev the vehicle then turn it off
then hit the button and you have flames.
They allso say that if its a carb bike or car to pull the choke out a bit to realy
fill the pipe with fuel filled gases to realy get a good flame.
But in saying all that i want one that i can do on the run with out turning
off the bike,i also reacon i can get bigger flames if im reving the bike while
pumping fuel into it and it getting forced out the pipe quicker and further.

That is what I've seen Damo, leave car running, turn on the gas and light it up, then rev the engine which blows the flames out the back about 10 metres. This was on a mid 50's mercury down at phillp island. Damn near singed me eyebrows!

Me old mate Chalkie for parting company with the system for starters.
And Ben for for helping me out with the wiring and nutting out some
of the dramas i was having and of course taking the photos.

*no it doesnt flame up while riding along as yet but im definatly going to work on
that because thats a must i recon it blows out at around 4/5 grand.

*The problem? Well lets start by saying that id got hold of a fuel injector had a
bit turned up for the end so i could run the fuel line straight to it but was un sure
about how to mount it so another trip to Bens and his words as walking through the door
where "have you got this thing working yet" i said "no im hear to speak to you about this"
and he says "lets have a look at this thing"
We walk out i fire the blade up and hit the button and we have flames straight away.
Ben says "whats wrong with that" and we both started laughing because we couldnt
beleave it actully worked for one and that i hadnt been able to get it to work till then.
Then i stopped it and it wouldnt work again SOOOOOOO we worked out that i had to give it
a good couple of revs acouple of hits of the button to fuel it up and get it to light
but once its alight it can stay alight as long as i want.
*As for Bens nieghbors she was very unimpressed with the noise we were making but she did stay for
the flame up a couple of times
yes large bring the marsh mellows and dont worry about any lighters at the next fools run
ill bring them or should i say it
its very warm down the back there when shes lite up.
