900 in to400 blade any 1 done it

HI ALL.i have a 94 400 cbr and a92 900 engine loom odds and ends vfr4 single sider so cheap project for wife to do .yes she is making it as she brakes them on that site .thanks for looking and if you can help

Would the frame and running gear be able to handle the 9 mate? I think someone mentioned doing something similar before and it didn't pay off.

Ive seen an artical on this exact swap and aparently the 9 nearly bolts straight
in to the 4 and the origanl body wrk goes back over it again so you cant tell.

Mate what an awesome sleeper to have if you do go ahead with it keep the info
and the photos coming.

Isnt the one your talking about Gix a cb6 with a cbr9 blade engine?
The cbr4 has a frame the same or very similiar to a blade frame from memory
not a steel spine frame like the cb6.I think?

1100 into GSXR400 has been done. 900 into CBR600 has been done. 1100 into CBR900 has been done. 1100 into GSXR750 has been done. Some were just a bolt in, some required major frame surgery.

i know a guy who put a cbr 600 into a cb1 frame [the little 400 naked] i think it has more or less the same frame and it kept breaking top mounts..which cbr 400 is it ?tri arm or what
