Hey guys,

Thought i would start a thread as there is a bit of work in this sucka.

I bought this lovely gem of an XS400 of Jockney Rebel last night. It has a single rear shock conversion with a dt400 swinger and some kind of modernish sportsbike shock (stepped pre-load and adjustable compression and rebound damping).

Plans are to get it registered (borrowing a lot of parts from a mates XS400 that is almost stock but in pieces right now) and then making a cafe racer.

I'll post up a concept pic when i get it done.

I am moving house tomorrow (only 10 mins up the road to Hadfield) where i will have a nice double garage for my ute and the bikes to sit in :D then i can actually pull out my tools and use them to make things :D

Turns out it is an XS250 frame, not sure if the engine is an XS250 as well... hopefully i can find out from the engine number... not too fussed either way, i didn't get it for the power :P

I am going to make a list tonight of what i need to buy/do for it and i will keep you all posted with progress.

checked the engine number and it IS a 400. a 77 XS400D.

Does anyone know if i will have any dramas getting it registered with the 250 frame? I am pretty sure they are exactly the same frame.
