View Full Version : Needed: MK2 B12 Tail Plastics

Anyone have a MkII bandit tail piece they want to get rid of? Colour not an issue, preferably no cracks. Need to replace the one on my brother inlaws bandit as the dickhead overtightened the screws holding his fancy new clear tail light in & snapped off the lugs that hold it on! [V]

Yep, I've got one in dark grey. It's in pretty close to perfect condition but I'll verify that tonight when I get home. I'm in the Northern Beaches area

Yep. It's not as perfect as I remember (not many things are) as it's got two cracks under the RHS edge which would respond well to a simple plastic weld. There's an impact indent you can poke a small fingertip into about 10mm deep that either needs welding or filling. There's also a stress line 50-100 mm long where the paint is bubbled a little and would need painting. In short; with a little prep and paint it will be fine but if you're looking for a bolt-on restoration it won't do the trick. I'll try and get some photos and send them through

no worries mate. Yeh pics would be good! The main concern is that all the tail light mounting lugs are intact!

On the left is the dent and the right is the crinkling. On closer inspection it is the clear coat that's wrinkled, the colour underneath seems fine

On the right is the smaller tear, real easy to fix. The one on the left is a bit bigger and would need plasti-weld to tidy up
