cheers.joe.

The headlight is my own design & yes the two uprights have 4 x 300 lumen (the brightest I could find) LED's in each, they have Billet aluminium bodies with Acrylic lenses all machined as one piece on the CNC.Then the lenses were polished. Yes Surt is correct that they aren't really bright enough for everyday use (about as good as one of those fairings with the halogen down lights, so ok on well lit city streets)although with the projector on as well, the light is quite good. The reason for the design is to allow good airflow to the front air intake as it feeds the under tank intercooler.
The swingarm is also a machined BXP aluminium billet item.
The turbo setup is a garrett GT2871 Roller bearing on a set of custom stainless headers,& a Tial 38mm external gate.

Nice bit of machining on the swinger, clamps and headlight.
Got any pics of the plenum, ill guess you machined that up too:D

Who belongs to this bike?

How many hours have you put into the bike? If you don't mind me asking.

VERY VERY NICE..the more you look at all the detail the more i agree with Holyman..

Whats the go with the gold pistons on the front end?

Whats the air cleaner, i'm in need of a compact one.

xa-mont

i am going to go against the crowd here and say i am not a fan of the light, but it sure is different, and with the need to get air in the middle, it is better than anything i can think of.

Apart from that i love everything else on this bike. the swinger goes perfectly with the wheels, the carbon on the frame/subframe looks nuts and the little tiny bits of gold are perfect and just enough.

Once again you are a fucking master!... need an apprentice? I'm pretty keen on getting out of this IT game and into something with a little bit more hands on.

Ha Ha.... I was wondering when that question would come up. They are a highly technical piece of engineering mastery by Pete that we like to call a Twasmadetolooklikealinearsensorbutreallyonlyaguard mount.
Filter is a K&N with a Precharger on it.

The plenum/intercooler is one piece & is fabricated out of aluminium sheet with a machined baseplate that seals to the throttle bodies with o-rings.
Here's the plenum part finished.

HaHa.....smartarse[:o)]. Obviously I used a premade core & then fabricated the plenum. It's running an Autronic ECU & CDI, still to get it's final tune but it should make around 240-250 safely.
The swingarm is more than strong enough, it's made out of 80mm billet, here's the process.

knew the core hadnt been made from scratch lol just emphasized
somehow i had an impression that the swingarm had no side walls=milled thru now i see it clear anf it looks pretty strong

You weren't joking about not letting him use that headlight were you mate!?

100% awesome build as always, cannot knock a thing as for the execusion mate. As far as looks go, I'd have to piss those fag boy mirrors off as they are seriously Stretch Busa material and look like bark busters. That wasn't your work was it?? Doesn't seem your style.

The headlight blew me away with your ingenuity mate. You never cease to amaze me. Just when you think you've seen everything you pull out something new. Show us head-on as well.

Again, I don't mean to sound like I'm being picky, it's just my personal opinion (which means fuck all) but in the photos the swingarm looks a bit frilly / lacey in contrast to such a big frame a beefy stance. I'm sure it would looks better in real life and I've forgotten, but regardless, that is some beautiful work mate. Another GREAT example of BXP engineering skills.

Photos in the UK yet?

Hey thanks for all the comments guys. There's definitely things I'd do different if it were my bike, but I've got to use parts that are supplied, & work to the budget that was set. Yes Si the mirrors were supplied, & wouldn't be my choice as they are completely useless as mirrors anyway.
Here's a front shot.

Ben, did you heat treat and post machine the swinger after welding, or did it come off the jig pretty straight?

EXBEN
23-10-2010, 07:56 PM
It's made of non-heat treatable alloy, billet doesn't warp nearly as bad when welded like fab'd arms do. Came out perfect & didn't even require tweaking before being anodised.

If anyone's wondering, I moved this at Ben's request.

He rang and asked me to delete the thread because Stu has cracked a spaz and demanded it gor deleted as he's got some deal to publish it in rapid first.

I didn't want to straight out delete it- I was thinking of editing the pics so they only show little bits of the bike- but now I can't edit it.

MDM told me he's going to use it in Streetfighters Mag and not mention bell end at all, just promote BXP to the max. Good on him I say.

As for Jeff and his boyfriend, to be expected hey?

Love the fact that Ben makes it, does all the work and yet is not allowed to show his efforts until two gay boys say so. Shits me to tears.... They really think they are somthing special.

JackTar
25-10-2010, 07:47 PM
I can't understand why Ben didn't just tell him to grow the fuck up. From what I can gather most of the members don't read that mag anyway. I used to buy it religiously and haven't bought a copy since I sent that letter in which did fuck all, kind of wish I had of bought that one though just to see if the response that Jeff put in the mag was the same one he gave me and if he edited my letter.

I was always a fan of bike mags,
had every BSH, every Streetfighter, AWOL etc,
but when you actually talk to the owners, builders and ride
some of the bikes many of the features should really be
in the fiction section. I've know more than one
Streetfighter that's been featured that didn't even run.

I know the Internet has to be taken with a huge huge pinch
of salt, but unlike a magazine, when someone is full of
bullshit there's often someone who will tell you so where
magazines send out their crap as fact.

I read the artical today and MY perception of the above statement was that it needed the ova haul before STU did all that work making turbos from scratch and swing arms from loo roll all by him self
