Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of trouble finding the current rules relating to period 5 racing. I've tried Motorcycling Australia and the Classic Racing websites but no luck. Can anyone help ?

Looks the goods from what I can make out, thanks mate. I was going to use my Bandit 12 front calipers but it looks as though they would be a problem.

A lot of us use the twin spot Brembos of the eighties BMWs
Brembo 38mm F08 Caliper

Or Brembo 38mm 2 Piston 108 Caliper -

I run the old Brembos on XS1100 discs It is important to slot the XS discs as I dished two drilled sets, but I run harsh pads

Some guys prefer the Lockheed.
Gremica make a similar one as well and cheaper
The Brembos are fine by me the only thing I've heard is they knock back to easy but I have only experienced that with the dishing at Wakefield
braking hard into the last corner cupped the discs and pushed the pistons back, discs cool down on the straight and straighten up, lever back to the bar going into turn 2. But I'm running carbon ceramic pads and a 1/2inch master so that's a lot of abuse, now that I've slotted them it seems to take the expansion out, was fine at Eastern Creek.
regarding the master cyl recommended is 5/8" or 15mm I prefer the 14mm or 1/2", 1/2" gives a lot of lever travel so bleeding well is a must.
14mm is probably sensible.

Thanks for your help Chris, I've got a lot to learn regarding this build !! I was going to use a master cyclinder from a GSX1400 but I'll now need to check out what size it is and if it will suit.

Hey Chris, so am I correct in assuming that the larger diameter the master cylinder the less lever travel I will get when applying the brakes ?

The GSX 1400 runs a 16mm master cylinder, if 15mm is recommended for the Brembo 38mm F08 style then I assume that this master cylinder would most likley be o.k ?

Yes larger the M/C bore the less lever travel and leverage,
meaning stiffer feeling, Try it out anyway you may prefer it.
I have smaller hands so I like to get the operating part of lever travel in close for more feel.
