It looks like the honda top triple clamp isnt thick enough to take a bar conversion. how much should I be paying to have one made.
I have found a couple of ones in the UK, but the will cost around $500

I would think you should be able to get something cheaper from the US right now - the AUD is like 99c or so....

What about a completely new front end off a late model CBR/GSXR etc?? Dollar being so strong makes it appeal even more at the minute.

I have a spare set of USD forks (05 CBR1000RR) that might be just what you need to start the process :)

you can't weld in plates to the underneath of the triples? Did it on my 12r originally and it worked a treat

Draw up what you want preferably something out of solid billet one thickness if you can. water cut it out including holes for forks slots etc, Then DIY clamping holes threads are just a pair of taps at about $20 each for a starter and finishing die. I just had one cut out for $95 out of 30mm plate for a mates project all I have to do is drill the clamp holes (for forks) and tap em. Compleat project will set me back including taps stainless bolts etc about $200.
