Pete, its a weapon mate, its got a ZX9 front end and the geometry has been changed to match a ZX9. Despite the fact thats its as short as fuck, it tracks like a champion.

Still got the CB Harry, heading off to PI on it on Tuesday.

Kev, the seats as hard as a fucking plank, I'll be in touch soon enough

People don't appreciate how sharp these things steer, you look where you want to be and they seem to be there before you even think it.

I can't come to grips with the claimed numbers of modern bikes, some claim as low as 180 odd kilos yet one of these things fully tanked with fuel and oil will see about 205kgs and thats with a brick of an engine like the old GSX or even the GSXR/

Nothing wrong with what you have there man but I'd be looking for a nice warm'92 Gixxer motor as a transplant then you'll have real power and awesome reliability.

Good Luck , happy Harrising!

I've got an 1170 kit for it and I hear that the cams from the first slabbies slot right in. With the mikunis that are already on it, it should go alright

Only reason I suggested Gixxer is once you start hotting up GSX's, Clutch Crank and alternators don't like it.

Not dissing your thread I reckon your bike is cool just had a couple of GSX's and since moving to Gixxer have never looked back.

Thanks for the heads up mate. I've been warned about clutches.

Much modification needed to go Gixxer?

In all honesty I don't know as the Harris Suzuki frame is slightly different to the Z9 one I have.

Basically the Z9 has heaps of room at the back of the frame near the swingarm whereas your frame finishes close to the back of the engine and close to swinger, the Z9 had a kick starter so more room was needed at the back because the cases were slightly bigger/longer.

If you ask a couple of guys who have played with GSX to GSXR conversions in standard frames they might be better at advising.

Maybe try Oldskool they will certainly know.

All in all I don't think it would be too difficult as the GSX bottom end is much bigger than the Gixxer.

I'll do a bit of research and get back to 'ya!
