hi all this might be one for the older guys here. Got a 900 boldor 82 f2 and am doing some engine mods while ive got the motor apart i want to put in a bigger cam like a 1000 or 1100. but getting one the same age is hard and quite expensive. so what im asking is would a modern or newer model fit in ? cant seem to find a engine place that can help me. Thx in advance

If you can, chase up a set of 1100 cams, they will be hard to find in good nick but worth it. 900 cams are just there to stop the buckets from falling out, Web Cams still make 2 grinds for Bol Dor's a 365 lift and a 395 lift. 1100 cam is as good as the 365. 395 is good but needs shim under buckets I have found on advice from one of the dragracers on the US 1100 site that slotting the sprockets and timing the cams to
100 - 105 is the go
Set up right the Bol Dor's can punch pretty hard
Your 900 block can only go out to 985 but you can go an 1100 top end from rods up
1100 tensioners are a must as well
