I have a TL1000S 1998. When I first got it the battery kept dying and I replaced it .. all good for 3 months. In the last week twice I have turned on the bike and nothing. No dash lights not even dim.. just dead. The first time I pulled off the seat and put a Multi meter on the battery and it was fine. Put the battery housing/cover back on and away it went. Today it died .. pulled it apart again and nothing. Checked the fuses, all good, battery reading about 13 volts. Put the Battery cover/housing back on .. and she lit up ready to go. Rode it home without a hassle, turned it off. Back on .. Nothing. ... N E ideas welcome.

or a stuffed ign switch ? If it plays up give the key a wobble or tap top of ign then try again to see if its the prob before moving the battery cover.

i think there is a green connector near the headstock that might be loose?

The TL Zone guys will know for sure but from memory these bikes were plagued with bad earth grounding to the frame.
