View Full Version : Made me a sub box "WARNING - FULLY SICK"

yeh so not much to the storey, made a slimline sub box and mounted 2 x Clarion slimline 10" inchers.

Subs are 4ohm bridged running off a kicker mono block running about 700w rms @ 2ohm sounds super tight in the small cab

they are about 78mm deep and box is bang on 1 cubic foot.

still got heaps of room between box and passenger seat.

did u line it ? is that a 50 mm port and did u put any mesh behind the grill

I don't think that's a port, looks like it is just where the inputs go.

Does look good mate. Has it got enough volume though (as in space, not noise)

on closer instection they are loffers...
sorry yes for inputs thought box was a bit small for ported lol
chop i allways recondmend for that type box dacron filling (teady bear foam, should be a few boys here with some..... he he)
sorry for the highjack but here is 1 i did in about 2003 or 2004
look at yrs and remembered one i built in a cab.
btw 700 rms would make them come alive try the fill will smothe out the responce a bit:D:D

i tried it with and without dacron and for me it sounded a bit better without it.


as for the grill, it is made from 10mm and just has two 10" holes in front of the subs, on the inside i of the two holes i have some metal grills from jaycar.
