I've been checking out TiG welders lately and wanted to ask the advice of the forum. I want it (mostly) for welding bike frames and the like. Can't imagine needing to weld more than 10mm thick MS and the odd bit of stainless. Don't want to weld aluminium.

Considering eBay due to price. Anyone got one from the net and if so what brand? How was it? What features have you wished you'd got? What features do you think you didn't need?

Not looking for advice on welding, just the machines. Thanks :D

What's your budget?
You wont get away with a low budget tig for 10mm mild steel.

No, but all of these TiG's are capable of stick welding, and I can stick weld 10mm plate. I want to be able to TiG pipe with a wall thickness up to 3mm.
