Hey guys,

Got sick of seeing my gay as aids gold levers, so today i though... fuck it, time to clean them with some over cleaner.

So... I cleaned them with oven cleaner and then a plastic bristle paint remover wheel, and then with some braso just for good measure and this is pretty much where i am at...

the question i have is... how the fuck do i polish, or at least clean up inside the little machined out bit and tight parts?

I am going to try the looser polishing wheel and see if that helps, but i'm not holding my breath.

have you got access to a dremel? they work a treat for that sort of thing

caustic soda is good for taking anondised stuff off too. dremel or a desk polisher and hold on tight to it?

i have got a dremel, but i find that the polishing wheels on them are shithouse. I got it pretty good, and i think i might just mask it and paint some silver into the holes, i doubt you would notice unless you were looking closely.

Here they are pretty much done and back on the bike. looks pretty good IMO, i'll take a couple of photo's in the sun (hopefully) tomorrow

i used a dremmel for the polishing on my bandit but in the tight spots like you have here i cut tiny bits of 1200 grit wet and dry sand paper and then super glued it to the end of a flat head screwdriver to get it ready for polishing and then i put a bit of rag over a screwdriver and polished it up easy as mate just time consuming

just a tip fold the sand paper over the end of the screwdriver otherwise you end up with scratches everywhere

bit of Mothers on those levers and they'll look mint
