due to using a shit 7ah battery i have been needing to push start my bike whenever i wanted to ride it (4 months ago). so im going back to the old big 9ah battery which is standard on the 954's, and though about putting it in the very tight gap between the gearbox and under the fuel tank, is heat going to be a problem here? and where do other cbr 929/954 fighters have their battery's ?

have you thought about trying a battery from a different bike alot of the late model stuff is pretty small these days

I've used early Bandit 12 battery's a couple of times.
Although not small the original factory one's were quite
happy to be lay on their side for a year or 2 and having
the leads extended with "Super Cheap / Halfords" car starter
motor leads bolted on as extended battery leads.

Not cheap, but a few Guy's on another forum are using these
( Lithium ) and are quite happy with them....

ive seen a couple of german 954s where they put foam filters on the end of each velocity stack (like the unifilters off side draft carbs) and throw the battery under the tank where the stock airbox was. i looked into this but kept the stock tail on mine so plenty of space.

what do they do with the airbox sensor?

have a rail connected to the velocity stacks like a fuel injector rail. not sure how they run like this but in theory cant see a problem
