Brace Pete not clamps, it will only flex where you have put your arrow if the brace is loose.

Like I said loose brace, most cheap bars do it chop some meat out of the clamp so they do up tighter and use lock tight on the bolt.

I reckon you should get fatbar risers and some nice chunky Renthals Pete, they looks heaps better and they won't be flexy.. If your keen get them from here B&C Express (http://www.bandcexpress.co.uk/handlebars/28mm-fatbars.html/). Both Risers and Bars are a total of $174 Aus dollars including postage, (they exclude tax for us) Just the bars here in Oz are around 200.. atleast in Newcastle they are. Good value fast shipping.. GO RENTHAL and B&C Express... <----Blatant plug, lol...

I've got some 1" to 7/8" Reikin bars on the max and they are excellent - way better than that braced crap, ditch 'em Pete and go the fat bars - get some style :D
Forgot to mention they come in all sorts of wank colours and you can usually pick up a horrible coloured pair very cheap then get them powder coated for less than the price of a black pair. I got metallic pink for $79 and powdered coated for $10
