With a hammer, a drift punch/screwdriver and some dead reckoning.

That's how i did it... well with a big spanner (hammer) and a fucked old long screwdriver (drift punch)... the forks haven't fallen off yet, so i think it was ok :P

You will feel the resistance when you are merrily hitting it with a hammer. It will be pretty obvious when it is tight enough.

Most brands have a special socket to fit the collars and you do it with the top clamp off.

dont ova tighten the thing ,,if it feels smooth and firm its right if it is to tight youl crush the bearing,hey sit on bike when tight rock bike forward and backwards while holding front brake on ,if no feeling of movement thens alls good
