Weapons ? (Non Fire Arms)

I`ve collected a few good hand weapons (not knives) over the years, but never had one of these till now.
I know they`ve been around for a while but they are fairly quiet and deadly with 1/2" steel ball bearings.

got one of those... they sell them in poundland for a quid (funnily enough) but for 'fishing'.

crabapples, strawberries and small potatos are good for ammo *big grin*

I'm a dead shot with a packet of mintos too muhahahahahha bit satisfying when they explode on the back of the gobby shits head...

I'll stick with my forehead, fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet. They've never failed me yet.

And that counts against blokes with knives, bats, and other assorted weapons. I've got some scars but haven't been carted off in an ambulance yet so I figure I must be doing something right.

My understanding with these slingshots is that they're only a concern if they're fitted with the arm brace, although I don't understand why.

Without the arm brace the 'Y' would angle back as you pulled on the elastic...not good for power or accuracy...

all slingshots are illeagal is aus with or without brace but you can still buy them in parts from mos hunting shops anyway and as for that russ it depends if you have nanna arms or not i dont see any real advantage with the arm brace and i removed mine plus it also makes it easier to hide

another thing which was fun as a kid was my rubber glove gun .....easy to make its just a bit of pvc pipe with the finger off a rubber glove taped on one end and then load it up pull back and watch your sister/brother run like fuck lol

ahahah gove guns were awesome! used to have "blow outs" where some how the fucking things would rupture and the stone/gravel/pencil/ball bearing/marble would come back and do some damage.

Another one we used quite effectively was the peg gun. had to use the plastic pegs that have the "fish" shaped steel spring inside some brands of clothes pegs with a rubber band through it, nail on one end of a length of wood/dowel/pool cue. nail another peg up where your thumb is, stretch the rubber band from the nail, up to the peg and let the peg grab the "Tail" part of the steel spring. and its ready to make step brothers cry

I remeber making glove/peg guns as a kid.
when i was about 12, I figured out that if I put a dart in the rubber band, it made a pretty serious dart gun. I also managed to shoot a dart into the back of my hand when it didn't quite work.

I am an asp baton instructor yet when I was in a massive brawl in the phillipines the coppers still managed to beat me senseless with them, much more fun to be on the handle end trust me :D

Used to have mini slingshots at school - 2 rubber bands and some fabric between. String it between thumb and forefinger and a pocket full of lead shot. Lots of fun stinging the legs of those wearing shorts to school during winter!

What weapons do I have now though? 2 Sheppards with strong jaws and a full set of teeth. Very effective garage security.

The old fence staples and a fowler bottling jar seal in the 4 inch dia streched between some high tensile large gauge fencing wire, to make a simple slingshot. Can be hidden very easy from even a very through search without going to painful hiding spots. Will punch a 10 gauge fencing staple through a 6mm toughened window at 3 meters and or punch into someone ass through corderoy pants about 5mm from the same distance lol total cost with a box of about 1000 staples say $10 I used to be able to hit a person sized target from 50 m away and even then it stung like a bitch lol

I don't hunt with it though, just cardboard targets hidden in the bush with the club (well, i used to before I got lazy)

I did accidentally kill a sheep with it once though...Funny story that.

the worst thing i have had happen wih my bow before i knew better was putting a timber practise arrow in it ...it desintergrated and almost went threw my arm now i only use carbon arrows and i have it set up for 90 pound draw

Hey Rocket I've seen a guy banging a PSE against a tree in order to realign the limb, they got the nickname for a reason but they are better these days.

90lb, fark me, what do you hunt Elephants, 70lb will bring a buffalo down. My 60lb Energy kills anything I hunt. You were lucky with that arrow, I've seen pics of them hanging out of the back of peoples hands when the fracture on release.

I use 52LB, I need it to be repeatable rather than have to kill anything and with 20 targets each round and on a bad day, a possible three shots at each target, I can still pull 52 and hold my form at the end of the day. Fucked if I could pull 70 repeatedly, let alone 90 !!
