Righto, I've got myself a swingarm, linkages and sh0ck form a 2004-05 GSXR 600/750 to put in my 1990 GSXR1100. I pulled the swingarm out today and did a bit of a trial fit of the new one. To my surprose, they were the same with at the pivot, so the swap should be straight forward :D.

What I do need to know is what can I do to adapt the 20mm pivot bolt to the new swinger, which is 25mm diameter? Can I just get a single long sleeve made up, or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Also, I didn't remove the original shock and linkages, but it looks like I need some spacers where the new linkage will bolt to the frame (90 a lot wider than 04). Has anyone done this sort of thing before?

Finally, am I going to have issues with chain alignment? New swinger is 15-20mm wider at the rear axle (and 45mm shorter, should be a wheelie machine!!!)

Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Thanks Deano. I guess I just need to go searching for a 25mm OD, 20mm ID tube. Either that, or just take the bigger spacers to a machine shop and get them to press-fit something into them and machine to the right internal diameter.

Should I go steel or stainless? I'm guessing aluminium would be too soft.
