What do you all think of this? I reckon it has heaps of potential and the fact that Pirelli is developing a more triangular profile rear 240 tyre is a good thing if you're into a bit of handling..

They need to do something to fill the space between the end of the frame and the edge of the tyre.

So why does everybody in here bag anything that Ducati does? I seem to remember a few WSB and MOTO GP titles, must be doing something ok. Then there is the Streetfighter that nobody likes "you don't buy a factory streetfighter you build one". So tell me then, there are a few owners of Triumph Speed Triples that are "Factory built streetfighters" that are acceptable and not critiicised, so how does that work? Please explain.

I don't like the look of that bike, but I do love Ducati's in general. I just can't afford one. As for the Factory fighters? I don't give a hoot either way, the Fazers are a good fun machine as are speed triples, monsters, and well just about all of them. Then again I don't much mind what I ride or what anyone else rides for that matter, if you're on a bike that's good enough for me.

HeyPuppet, i can only speak for myself in regards to ducati and i love the fuckin things BUT i think this pathetic attempt at a Cruiser is as ghey as fuck because ducati build sportsbikes and yes they do good at wsb and motogp.so why try to build this monstrosity its all about respect. triumph has just looked hard from the start with the speed trip thank fuck Harley didnt stick a twin cam in a MVframe same thing..as this criuser.at the end of the day you ride what you like but it may not be popular

I owned a ducati and it was one of the worst bikes ive ever owned personally. And I bought it new.

I bought a brand new Speed Triple in 05 and sold it 4 weeks later. Loved the look of it, just couldn't live with it. Vague to say the least, everything about it had a time delay. We were never on the same page.

Fuck me, having that crystal ball must be handy. What are they due to bring out in 10 years that you're not going to like??

So you don't like some of the pretentious buggers that ride them, fine. But how the fuck can you not like that v-twin power/torque/sound? Can you imagine having a latte machine in ur kitchen that sounded like twin termi's at 9000rpm ;)

1098 are a bloody dream ride, you make your own corners. but its like comparing oranges to apples to the inline jap bikes. The only thing i miss is the 14-1/2 redline sound (R1)! other than that, happy as a dog with a empty coke bottle! it surprised alot of my riding mates, while you under cut them on the corners. still will never own a harley (air compressor) or try to make my bikes look like one!!!

my mums got a 900ss ive borrowed it a couple of times it was ok to ride, not fast but sounded sweet

if i was baller rich i think id have a 1098 purely because they look amazing, ducati has been smart enough to get its bikes into several top biling movies so now when a general public member has $$$ and wants a bike ducati is what they buy..

sort of like ferrari and porsche but for bikes, no one cares that the build quality sucks because everyone knows there expensive and cool and sound good

my auntie had an old 900ss and she was the only one who could kick it over. I've always loved ducatis, never had one but would if I had the chance and the know-how to fix it.

It's an alright looking bike, but you just know it's going to cost $40k.

There's no way we're seeing it with that rear end though. If we do, fuck yeah.. means we can use it to argue for clear LED indicators, numberplates mounted off swinger, etc.

I also love how the rear pegs are hidden. I thought it was a single seater til I looked real close.
