You could always turbo a GPZ900r... I know someone who might be selling one dirt cheap...

Me.

:D

I reckon almost any bike is a good bike to fighter - its up to you to make it original.

If you're on a budget and are prepared to wait, you could check out the auctions:

http://www.manheimfowles.com.au/

I picked up my ZX9 from the Bris auctions about a year ago for a shade under $2K - and I had it back on the road for under $4K. You've just got to wait for the right bike to come along.

I've had both a TLR and a 93 Blade. I love both of them. I miss my TL. Loved the power, but they take a little thought to make them look right as a fighter. A TLS with an R motor is a no brainer. Been wanting to do one for a bit now. The Blade is also a great bike. Plenty of midrange, light and flickable. Plus they look great. I actually have a mix of both now. 900RR with some TLR running gear. The other nice part is the blades are simple to work with. You can do just about anything with them. Building an oil boiler Gixxer now. Always wanted the classic GSXR. Another one of those bikes you can do anything with. Make them stupid fast, handel well and they'll always look good. The big deal is what do you want to do with it amd what kind of power do you want. I'f you're thinking turbo, go with the GSXR. Engine parts are more readily available and the motors will handel it. The 900's seem to do well on boost too, but parts seem to take a little more to track down. From the very few TL's I've seen boosted, they all failed. Usually main bearings. The cases can't handel much more then 150hp. Any of the 3 would be great fighter fodder. Just go with whatever strikes you best. That's my 2 coins worth.

Mundy is right. You'll get some good advice and see some 'Fighters while you're at it.
