'97 Bandit speed limiter

Hi all,

my friends '97 bandit is restricted at 180km/h.
I've heard people say you can cut a pink wire, but he want to be sure before he mess anything up.

Any help will be appreciated.

What country are you in Avatar? Do you have one of the mainland European restricted Bandits?

On my TL, cutting the pink wire (gear position) was a big no-no, apparently, it will lean the motor out at high revs/high speed & melt pistons. I think the pink wire does the same job on all E.F.I. Suzi's.
I disconnected it once & took it for a run & I couldn't feel any difference at all.

we have suggested the pink wire if they are the same as the TL range.but its not realy a good thing to do.
