Honda CB500/4 Post Classic Race Bike for sale, log booked, running, with some nice components, still needs some small finishing touches before it races again (has been sitting a while).
I bought this bike a while ago, with the intention of racing it alongside my Pre Modern bike, however money is a little too tight to race two classes per weekend, so the Honda has to go!
Bike has eligible Brembo front brakes (not fitted yet), Akront rims, de-raked frame, frame has been to Laurie Alderton Frame Repairs - whole rolling chassis is 100% straight and true, Keihin CR Smoothbores, Tingate alloy race clip-ons, Koni Shocks, Fiberglass fuel tank and seat unit.
To race again, it needs the front brakes fitted up (they are in a box), some finishing touches on assembly (was down to a bare frame when it went to be checked for straightness, not quite fully assembled yet), a service and some new tyres (been in storage for a while), some engine end case covers for the new rule. I have started and run this bike, but never ridden it. The previous owner said it should ride fine, nothing has changed since he last raced it.
Also, heaps of spares come with it. A nearly complete CB550 for parts, another box of spare engine bits, standard round-slide carbs, standard brakes ect. ect. Could nearly build two bikes with all the parts.
