help needed!

ok, finally going to fighter the zx6.. Decided riding a sportsbike on the roads around here is as boring as shit, so why not be comfy and look tough!

Having a problem finding a light i like tho.
Because it has the poxy ram air thing through the forks i can't run a headlight unit, so the plan is to use 2 oval shaped spotties(one above the other). I had a bit of a search, but couldn't come up with much, anyone know where to look?

I don't really have much of a picture in my head, winging it as i go so if anyone has some pics or ideas it would be appreciated!

Depends if you want e-marked ones mate.
If ya do, grab some Narva Compac80 driving lights. They're e-marked but they are pricey. Last time I checked them out they were like $140 from Repco. Probably find them cheaper elsewhere.

From memory, I THINK they are e-marked, but you might wanna check on that. I've seen these in Sprints before for $80 I think.

Otherwise, type in 'oval driving light' on ebay and see what they have. Or go around to the local auto shops and have a squiz. I picked up some tiny fog lights and some 70mm spots for under $50 the lot from Sprints for my headlight mask projects. They aren't e-marked though...

Get rid of the ramair tubery!
If you just whip it off it'll play buggery with the carburation, but you can get it running somwhere close by blocking off one inlet (through the frame) completely, and just having one open. It'll still need the carbs tweaking mind...

nah mate, the hole in the frame is in between the forks, and its a decent size(makes a fair difference) so cant really get around it.

trying to find a headlight i like..
anyone know where i should be looking?
I want a kinda oval shaped one, or i have seen one that looks kinda like a figure 8 on its side.
Or just a neat rectangular one..

I can't really see the headlight properly in that pic mate, but you're not talking about the "wave" or "cyclops" units like this are ya?

The cyclops one is what i was thinking, but leaning more towards a rectangular one at the moment, but cant fing any that are the right height- all the ones i have found are too high.

I can get the cyclops ones through work E marked but they are about $350 a pop. Better off to go US.
