View Full Version : Carb swap 36mm - what can I use?

I'm sick of piss-farting around with the carbs on my bike, just wondering what other bikes run the same carbs that will be a straight (or easy) swap. Mine is a 1990 GSXR1100, but it has an older (1988?) motor in it. Pretty sure the carbs are off the 1990 model, they are 36mm Mikunis. Hopefully looking for something that will bolt straight up (I'm an accountant, not a mechanic).

Thanks.

Thanks Gitzy, you mean from the original 1200 model I'm guessing? Just missed a set on eBay, they looked identical at least.

Pretty confident B12 Carbs were identical from 96-05 till she turned 1250 water cooled.. so you have a few years to play with..

Mikuni Oz is the factory authorised Mikuni importer.

Normally much cheaper than anyone else in Australia.

Been dealing with them for 20 years and never had a single problem.

That would be sweet, but I didn't pay a lot more than that for the bike [:I]
