I have that exact bike lift....Got it from "Glenfords tools" or "mans toyshop" it was $495.00....Too easy you couldn't F@*K around for that dollars,By the time you source the hydraulics work out the angles of everything and then make it...!It took 10min to assemble and we were using it.:)

Have a look at this Oz might interest ya

I have got one of these and can strip a bike down so there is only a frame left.
I have had all different types of bikes on it including v-max's, goldwings, some hardlys including the v-rod thing. It handled the weight of those shit heaps easy.
I like it as it gives you unrestricted access to all of the bike and plus there is no hydrolic pump to worry about I use a socket and cut down extension bar with an ordinary electric drill and wind the lift up or down as needed.

oz.

I had the J 750 sitting on one at work and it left a print where the rear tyre was sitting for ages. that print was 210mm from the back of the stand. therefore if you have a extended arm that is 8" over standard 750 J then it will just fit. you could easily weld on an extra few inches as the ramp part comes off.
gunna be heaps cheeper than getting a custom one made or trying to make one yourself and then fucking if up and going and buying one of these after you relise that you can't be fucked trying again and thinking how stupid you were to even attempt to make one yourself.

good luck

What Deano said but I didn't have a GSXR750 J sitting on one as I was riding the bike at the time.;)
