Yeah, but having your garden beds right up against your house is just the thing to invite termites underneath the slab and into the house.

Is this still a bike forum??

I'm glad you like your wheels, not for me tho.

Can you ask your wife about the rose thats in the pot? Mine just don't seem to be liking the pots they are in, what sort of potty mix is she using?
I wonder if the colour of the pot has anything to do with it. Mine are a deep red colour, maybe the rose is intimidated by the colour.

When I grow my roses in pots or tubs I always use high quality potting mix. It needs to be free draining and needs to be able to hold moisture well so that it doesn't dry out excessively between watering. If you purchase a potting mix with the Australian Standards 'premium' logo you can rest assured that the mix will be suitable for your potted roses.

Try to steer clear of garden soil in pots, its one of the most common causes of failure in potted Roses.

The Colour of the pot has everything to do with it, a Rose has to be the center of attention mate, I recommend you paint your pots an olive drab or other earthy colours.

Thanks Rod, unfortunatly i did use garden soil in my pots. I did get the good top soil from the veggie patch tho. Maybe the rose doesn't like the soil used by common veggies? Roses are of the upper class after all.

I didn't have any paint so i got the pot and rolled it in mud to get a nice earthy colour on them. I think the rose will be ok, should i have taken it out first? I thought it would have fun just like being on a roller coaster. The problem now is i broke the stem of the rose. Luckly my wife is a nurse and she helped my put a plaster cast on. I felt really bad i broke the poor thing and the plaster looked crap so i got a can of green spray paint and give it a few coats. I think this should promote the healing as the stem is green too. How long will it take to heal, it's a 6 year old plant, do they take longer to heal the older they are?

Ivan roses are related to blackberrys hence there impossable to kill with anything less then treee and blackberry poison lol If you snap em off at ground level (woops with the ride on mower 3 times lol) the fucker will still grow back up! They just dont look the same after a while especially if there grafted lol

The age of the Rose usually does not affect the healing time LB; however, your rose is now in distress and needs to be nurtured. You need to sing for and talk to your sick Rose. I hire children to come talk to my plants and water them if I go away for more than 2 days . Children don't mind following weird directions if you pay them. They're excellent garden workers!

I personally tell mine to fuck up and die every time I ride past the fuckers on my front yard and they try to hook me with there thorns, and I prune them with my big wire cutters every time they get close to snagging me, never water them ever even put round up on em one year made em a bit sick but the fucker came back. Flower heaps each year.
