brings back memories,I put a 2.8 capri motor in my transit race transporter, made a huge difference compared with the stock 1.6.

u don't need a v6 jimmy just a 44 in the back using it like a dry sump a little pump just pumping it in as u go lol or some way of catching the oil as it goes out the tail pipe

jimmy contact pat gardiner v6 convertions in moree he makes bolt in and wiring kits for around $600,,@ shadow the engine bay on jims van is way to short for a 4litre,jim you,l need to fit an external fuel pump use a camira or vl efi external unit ,and you,l need to fit a return fuel line to your fuel tank ,cheers pete

i wanna do the same thing but 2500 fucks me for the conversion gear.... if I'm going to flip my pockets inside out I'd rather drop a 1UZ jap v8 in there or something. keep it quiet and stealthy.. ish..

in order to overlook the whole tragedy of inserting good GMH parts into a ford thing, we're gonna have to see some awesome skids done in this van of your when it's finished jim

How's it handle with that much power? Sounds scary as fuck to me!

It's awesome Si. I loved this van and probably shouldn't have sold it but meh.... It sits a little lower in the front due to the weight of the engine/box but it's almost like a big gocart as far as handling goes.

like danny says it drives well upto about 195 then it gets a bit hairy surprises the fuck out of a lot of utes lol and now ive learnt how to use the quick shift it gets off the line like a race car

I only ran it to 160ish but that was loaded with furniture and other crap and it felt well planted at that speed with a little extra weight.....

yup i reckon a bit of weight would help ..gonna tidy up under the bonnet this weekend and sort out the body control module give it a service and see if i can do something about the fans ..ie put em on a thermo switch
