After my ZRX was burnt in the Newcastle Kawasaki fire I went through the leftover racebike parts and started to put this GPZ1100 together to get back on the road.
Motors done so hopefully wont be long now

The Start, GPZ1100B1 frame and bottom end, Bandit front end , XJR swingarm. 5.50 GSXR750 rear wheel

thanks to Z14 for making the caliper hanger. and torque arm left over from his motard, welding the repositioned shock mounts and machining the pivot down to fit. and heaps of other stuff.

It was bought for the Period 4 Honda sidecar but didn't clear the trailing link suspension so we never used it.

I Made the piston height TDC dial gauge out of an APE positive stop TDC tool I didn't think it was good enough with hi comp pistons so I drilled it out and made a plunger to operate a gauge it's less fucking round and pretty accurate.
I check the cams at 40 thou bucket lift to get the lobe centers the B2 cams are nice cams just on the edge of race cams stock is 105 - 108 these are 108 - 110
although the inlet will probably be a little bit more cos i didn't use the cam guide mimic block but it should be ok

Solid engine mounts from the parts bin, hope the vibes aren't too bad on a road bike
http://www.asfphotos.com/upload/1277038319.jpg

I butchered a brake side rear set off (I think) 91 GSXR750 roller I bought off ebay just for the wheels and copied it for the gearshift side

Rick made the pegs and welded the ankle rest on

I don't know if anyone has done this B4 but to make some
engine mounts quick I just marked em out drilled the holes
sandwiched them between two pieces of pine on the line
used one of thse flap discs on the grinder then draw filed them
too easy

@ Devo, this is the bike you picked up for me out at Orange and delivered to the creek a few years ago (thanks again for that).
