Nah if it took Pete 3 cans of Jim beam just to do the guard imagine how many it would take to do the Tank and tail also?! Plus the number two tank is painted hammertone for a reason ;)

I'm very happy to say that I picked up the painted parts yesterday from Pete. The colour scheme of the grey and red looks awesome and Pete has put in a bit of time ensuring the the stripes flow from front to rear. This paint job only cost me 100 bucks and a bottle of Jim Beam that I included as a thank you (Would of been two bottles if they made it all the way to Dapto ;) so to say I am happy with the job Pete has done would be an understatement... To be honest I wrapped.
The plan was to reassemble all the painted parts back on to the wretched today and get some photos up on here to show off the new paint job. But after a bit of thinking and discussion I have decided it will be best to finish off the minor details required to give Pete's paint job the full justice it deserves.
There are a few scratches and minors spots that need to be touched up and Pete has volunteered to send down the touch up paint. So hopefully I can get this done in the next week or two. Finally the parts will require to be rubbed back to remove the imperfections that settled in the paint while it was drying ( I'm hoping using 2000 grit wet and dry will achieve this. Then once this is completed it will be ready to reassembled. :D
I'd like to thank Pete for the job he has done painting my bike, cheers mate, and to be honest it has given me the inspiration to attempt the raise the standard of the build of my bike up to a higher level.

Yeah agree mate, I should of thought of that. When Pete sends down the touch up paint, I'm going to replace them, with something different, maybe similar screws they use for fairing windscreens.
