Well, I'm not sure what you're definition of gay is Weasel but I think that the old SR400 is a great bike. They've been the basis for many nice customs particularly cafe racers and some very cool bobbers. I know that Deus are very expensive but they turn out bikes similar to the ones below and I've always thought they look great.

These are not Deus bikes (some are from Gravel Crew in Japan) but the quality is the same. Most of the bikes on display at the show will be owner built or restored anyway and I'm always keen to support that. I can't get down to Sydney for it unfortunately.

Great bike built in a blokes shed = ok
mass produced tat with massive mark ups = not

Agree...nice bikes, but not so interested in a company that sells more flimsy shirts to guys without bikes, than the bikes themselves.

Have a good time, though!

Not quite my thing either but you have to give credit where it's due; there the only company in Australia that's making good coin out of customised motorcycles so good on them. You can tell it's run by people with big business marketing experience.

The downside is it's introducing a different breed of riders to bikes, the Deux Double Latte Badboy with Soy. At least they're a strictly urban breed and don't venture out onto real roads.

The upside is I'm sure a certain percentage of those badboys will upgrade to real bikes, turn into decent human beings and contribute to the overall biking community

I wouldn't mind going since it's only 2 min from my place, but as usual I've got work. Hoo-fucken-ray.

I enjoy going to Deus every now and then for a latte and poached eggs on sour dough with my girl. Sometimes when we've finished our breakfast and lattes we'll go and have a casual look at their bikes and gear. Do I think they are expensive? Yep sure do, but no one is holding a gun to my head telling me to buy their bikes. I can't wait until Extreme Creations build a cafe next door so I have real bikes to drool over after taking my girlfriend out for breakfast.

I'm with Toombsy63 on this one.

No one other than Hunwick's ever been on the positive side of a deal with him.

Toombsy63: Does Lake Keepit and 1977 ring a bell with you?
