Batteries

I'm trying to relocate my battery to less conspicuous position. Can you lay sealed AGM batteries on , say, a 45 deg angle. (YTX12BS) Or is there an alternative to a million dollar Odyssey Gel battery???

standard R1 battery gets layed on its side ( 90 deg )

I got an R1 Battery and mounted it on its side .. its a good thing

Yea I've heard about R1 batteries doing that, but I've been told by people that any AGM battery can be laid on it's side!? I assume that an R1 battery is just a sealed one?!

think that they are AGM sealed batterys, my 03 gixxer battry is similer to the R1 and i have it on its side and no probs with it as well

sealed is the way to go.

I'll be up for a new battery for the GS, (when it's ready to start), soon and was think'n of relocating it to the tail. Laying it on it's side would be the go I reckon.

What's a sealed battery worth?
