Hey all :)
Bought the old girl back in 2001 in pretty well stock trim. Had a blast on her for years, then scored a pretty tidy TLR at a 'couldnt refure' price.
Once the R was in the garage, the TLS got stripped and from then on i was broke [:p]. Ohlins rear stick with Bitubo spring unit, Racetech fork internals with gold valves, TLR guages, tag bars and risers, home engineered sub-frame to suit the german rear, german headlight unit, SV belly pan, powdercoated wheel, 200 rear hoop, pc2, scotts oil filter, K&N air filter, custom ss radiator guards, TLR 6 pot calipers, braided lines all round, clear clutch cover, custom rearsets, Rizoma mirrors, CRG racing levers, & more stuff.
Got some gold GSXR forks sitting there to go on when i strip it back down and powdercoat the frame, swingarm etc etc black.
I dont think these 'projects' are ever finished [8D]

Now......what to do with the TLR ;)

Reckon your right Albi - will probly leave the R alone and just keep adding tasty bits!
Here's a pic of the TLS guages - i used TLR gauges cause they are a bit smaller. Had to rewire the connector to suit and make a couple of mounting brackets. Not that happy with it, but down the track would like to get a miniscope gauge. They are georgeous!

Front guard i got from 'streetfightersinc.com' in the states mate. Around 200km before fuel light starts flashing, then you've got roughly 20km to find a fuel tanker mate.

Don't TLS have 17L fuel tank so..

Albi's TL is suckin 15.88 Litres per 100kms.. I knew they were thirsty, but thats just silly.. Is there something wrong with yours Albi if Beaza is gettin 200+??? My Street Triple had 17.4L tank and no light till 300+ but prob comparing a 675 triple to a 1000 Twin is a bit silly too.. either way i get 150kms out of a 9L XR250 Tank Albi, i'd be looking for a more economical bike mate..

Reckon she might be runnin a tad rich Albi! Are you running a pc2 or pc3? If so, lean her out a bit. Are your plugs lasting 4-5k, any 'fuelly' smell when you shut down? Much carbon on can outlets? Worth checking mate.

Now that is a TL that has the looks that live up to the nickname of ´Widow maker´ that it was given when released back in the UK. Evil looking bike mate!... Love it!

Tell me a little bout these tl's guys, never rode one b4, and recon they make a tasy project, do they handle as bad as a lot of peps say they do,and what they like for pasting,,can they handle getting flogged to death the way the gixers and bandits stick it,,

Mate, they are a blast to ride. Need suspension upgraded to eliminate handling probs. I've got 100000 floggin km on the TLS motor and she still runs strong as. 3k oil changes on any bike and regular maintenance will go a long way. I do have a spare donk on the shelf for that inevitable day lol. 10 year old bike is never gonna match the latest technology, but there is something about the v-twin torque that keeps me hard all day.

Yeh mate, battery box from a TLR. Needed to make up a couple of brackets to fit it.
