how is it that they build some of the greatest bikes in the world but just fuck it up so bad when it comes to modifying

That's a whole new 'genera' of motorcycles there. Really big in Japan and starting to take off in Europe too.

They're no more ridiculous or ugly than your average stretched out chopper.

At least they build them out of good bikes and not those silly American 'tractor' engined bikes with the WW2 technology. ;)

Isn't the thinking behind them the same as with the Bosozoku cars? i.e to be deliberately annoying and crazy/stupid?
