Hi all,

Im from the Gold Coast in QLD. Im new to the world of Streetfighters (but been around motorcyling for quite a number of years, and have always loved the fighters) In the past I have owned a cbr250rr and now I have an 05 triumph daytona 600. I am looking to fighter the d600, and want to chuck some GSXR upside down forks on her, along with some other things, including mx bars etc.

I have done a bit of hunting around here for info on front end swaps and have found a wealth of knowledge, which has been great. I did just notice a set of forks on the gold coast go in the classifieds section, that would have been perfect but I was a bit late, so it looks like US ebay is the go.

Just wanted to say hi, and will be posting away soon :)

cheers,

ben.

Holy thread revival batman haha! So I got a bit sidetracked and busy so never got around to fightering the daytona, and have only been riding it occasionally (and enjoying it every time I get on the thing!) however the time has come to finally bite the bullet and get onto it -so I bought the front end from a 2011 GSXR 600/750 yesterday and will be undertaking the process of getting it installed etc over the next few months. will post pics once it gets underway.

cant wait to get the USD forks and brembo radial brakes on her :D

Welcome back Benamon.

I wondered what all the fuss was about radial brakes,
but having riden a few and now owning a set, im a convert.

Post pic's when you get into it ( we like pic's)

Might catch up with you around the Gold Coast / Brissy some time.

Yeah the Daytona brakes leave a bit to be desired, so am looking forward to the change.

Will definitely post some pics up once underway :)

35013502 This is the front end thats going on her. Progress is slow as am flat out with work and uni. Am in the process of measuring up and drawing up the wheel spacers which are needed to allow me to fit the daytona front wheel into the GSXR front end. The 22mm axle is the tricky part - no bearings in the size I need, so will need to make some bushes up to allow me to fit a 25 mm bearing.
