I have a 1999 TTR 600 Motard that I've done less than 500ks on in the last year and a half. I used to use it nearly every day to go to the shops (about 1k each way, but haven't ridden it for probably 3-4 months now.

it's got 13xxx ks showing but has only done 492 ks since I bought it from Speedy about 3 years ago, when it had- 625cc overbore & Wiseco piston, valve guides, spings and fully ported head. Also Staintune pipe, lowered/goldvalved front Paoli's, gold valved rear Ohlins (lowered) and San Remo rims.

Since then it's had new tires (Pirelli MT60R) a motomaster 320mm front disc, twin Keihin FCR39s, KTM mirrors, new rear plastics and an xr75 (80?) front guard.

Also have a few spares like 21l tank/original front disc/airbox/carbs (2 sets) and a spare front hub. Was dynoed at 64hp [:0] on a dyno that everyone else reckoned was reading about 10% high so still respectable 55+hp. NSW rego till August.

I'm looking for offers over $4000.

Not unless you're the six million dollar man :D

I don't think they got the electric leg till 2000/2001.

Hi comp means this bike needs a fairly big kick to start

Stupid question, what would be the top speed of it??

If you geared it right do you recon it would pull into the low 200's??

I have a project in mind and this may be the donor bike if it ticks the right boxes.

No idea mate. I doubt it would get anywhere near that speed sitting up like you do on it.

I reckon I'd get 200 out of it if I was being followed by the duel truck in your avatar Rexie [:0]

When I say no dirt gear, those tires are designed for a bit of off roading and it has made it up this track that the CR had heaps of trouble getting up-

So it was the CR that had the trouble getting up the hill was it Rich [?]
Maybe there was something wrong with the nut holding the bars that caused it to not get up the hill. ;)
CRs normally go up hills OK.
Are you sure it was the CR that was the problem with not getting up the hill? [^]
Bloody CRs. :( don't go up bloody hills. [V]

TracToRs have heaps of low down torquey grunt good for solid forward momentum

CrippleRs have loads of up top power good for higher speeds.

The tree root in the middle of the first pic is about 18" above the rubble below.

The tree just visible in the second shot and prominant in the third pic is about 4 inches less than the width of the handlebars.

Slow and steady wins this race[:p]
