Eyup,

Greetings from a remote Scottish island!

Few of you might know me from other forums or from my airbrush work whored all over web and in magazines.

Full time custom painter by trade, bike perv n bodge-it builder by hobby.

At the moment Im building this turbo bandit dragbike thingy some of you might have seen about internet land, etc. Building it on small a budget as possible (£250 GBP so far including bike!).:-

Loads of piccies here (top of page):-

My other rides are my Harris with a hot Z1B lump:-

My zx6r ninja fighter general use hack (next project - soon to be rebuilt and dramatically changed!):-

And my VW trike (rebuilt last winter). Lot of you fighter guys probably hate it, but I love it. Something different for cruising about on with kids, etc.:-

Me daily driver n family/shopping hauler. Just the thing for a remote highly religious island where someone will knock on your door on a Sunday if you hang out washing even! Muwahahahaha……….. :-

Doh. Typed reply earlier n hit wrong button so came up blank.

Had harris bout 10 years+ slowly evolving it. Bought as a manky runner (just). Upgraded bits as felt needed them. Bits that worked fine stayed. Not a follower of fashion so mixture of old/new parts.

Harris magnum 2 frame, modified mag2 tank/seat unit. Z1B engine bored to 998cc with comp ratio of around 11-12:1 Race spec Kent cams, welded and balanced crank, 29mm carbs, bit of porting/polishing. Car oil cooler off egay. Homemade engine take-off adaptors. Homemade windowed clutch cover. Predator stainless exhaust system with hollow endcan with 4" outlet (loud), as wont run past 1/2 revs with baffle in as chokes it. Dyna coils/Taylor leads, phirana ignition, etc, etc. Makes about 100+ bhp at wheel. Bit peaky as set up for top end, but still way more torque down low than modern stuff. Fat torque curve on it. Geared right down for acceleration due to twisty mountain roads up here. Does about 145mph flat out on that gearing, but pulls to redline in top gear very quickly and easily so would be capable of more with different gearing.

CMA 18" wheels, 1980`s Marzocchi forks, gixer 4-pot calipers, 14" front discs by Yantosh. Matching tiny rear with moped caliper. R1 rear shock. Mechmachex swingarm. Everything else made/done by me including paint obviously.

Weighed in at 190kg at last MOT test with 2/3 tank of fuel so not that heavy really. Love the mad max fat engine/skinnyish tyre look and handles as well as my zx6r round the twisties so why upgrade. The old school parts that work well have stayed for that reason. Handles damn well!

Might come apart in couple years for paint/polish overhaul, but not going to be changing anything other than that as goes/handles damn well n looks spot on to me. Love it. lol.
