Looking to get some info on tubular swinging arms. Everything from pics (that's u Gitzy) to designs and materials.
Do u go for steel for the Tensile and shear strength but have extra weight!
Do u go for and alluminum alloy to save weight but have less strength?
What do u guys think. Anyone had any experience?
It is a balance of strength, weight and cost of materials. Any info on the subject will be appreciated.
Cheers

I lusted after a Taylormade tubular swingarm for my VMax when I was building that but my wallet said (and still does say) No :(

Was wondering if it was possible to build one. Shouldn't be too complicated I think.
Have a welding machine in the shed and just ordered a hydraulic pipe bending machine :D

Cheers Gitzy. It looks pretty straight forward to make. Just curious to know what material they're using

Very difficult to find, all the stuff I have bought I've imported from overseas.
It is the only material I would use unless I was going to do a heat treatment op after fabrication.

Tell me if im wrong but dont the zx kwackas have tubular arms

outright.
