Looks like I'll be biking it like every other winter [8D]

Been meaning to replace that....

and that....

And I'm so fucked I ripped everything off and can't remember what goes where and I'm too rooted to make sense of any diagrams to line everything up - so the shit is staying like this.
I ALWAYS only have the bike for transport in winter, fuckin cars, spose that might happen after almost 400,000k's and a smashed timing belt cover with a giant hole in it letting all sorts of stuff in.

yeah EVERY year.. BUT, just up the road from me is the beginning of the most fucked up road works/delay I have ever witnessed, so now I'm on the bike I can lane split/up the shoulder about 4km of backed up traffic till I get wiped out by some prick who see's me coming in his mirrors. let the fun begin!

My L300 mitsi van - 4G63 sohc - I'm learning up on all this shit about balance shaft alignment.. and all the timing marks.. and trying to remember exactly what has to go back on lol - just hooked into it the other night... (oh and by learning.. I mean avoiding)
At least it happened in my driveway and not on the way to work.
And that last pic was taken after I scraped about a cm of crud off the inside of that particular area and degreased/gurneyed the shit out of it. there was more oil and dirt down inside there, than there was on the rest of the engine. And for those who didn't know you CAN fit a B model zx9 in one of these vans.. JUST.. but have to bend a mirror down.

oh yeah and shit like this is why I'v been putting off getting stuck into the bike I KNEW this would happen!
