Throw away that shit inlet manifold and get some good high flow headers for it and it'll scream....

These motors have so much power in them but is head back with the manifolds

yes these things are tuff from mem they have 6 bolt mains
no shit on a old dvd i have they had a 50 cent peice on its edge
on intlet and slowly razed revs it made it 2 nearly 6000 rpm.....before falling over
shit u not..the 6 cl 2jz is known to be good for like 600hp with out opening the motor

the lexus i pulled this motor from was hit up the left side ,,i drove it n hacked dounuts and did heaps of burnouts in it id line lock it to 2600rpm and in 2 mins it blew the rear tyres in 3rd gear

always wanted to do a conversion with one of these, perfect combination a v8 (so chicks don't think your gay) and an over enginered "can fart 1000hp without staining its underpants" jap engine.

REALLY want one of these for the Rodeo. could get one with a manual gearbox and Loom for about 3k, its all jammed in a cresida tho

Pete looks the goods so far I assume your going back another 2 inches for better weight bias? or is it more steering arm issues? I also notice the " low lux" you plan on doing a dumped mini ? I was 3/4 through a rn85 4 door when i decided another bike was more fun. Air bagged etc 1gg-gze hair dryer instead of super and staight gas with a modded distributor instead of efi went well traction was an issue lol (I love it when tyres sing the squeals of torcher on durt)

it been sitting for a while now and needs alot of work which i dont really have time for cos first i have to finish predator and then the racebike and then my XD and then the valliant and then maybe the van

1981 xd fairmont with factory 302 clevo interior is in excellent nick i bought this beast off weaselman last july and all i have done to it so far is put a B&M megashifter in it and redone some wiring as soon as the bikes are done it will getting some rust cut out and then i want to paint it the original silver and the motor will come out for a bit of a build in search of some HP nothing to extravagent maybe a blower and a few more cubes and some headwork just the norm these days really ....i want i nice reliable streeter that can still put the wind up the rice burners it is currently purple i have a set of 18 x 8.5 inch momo rims for it which suit it really well .....best thing is she is still matching numbers

i've probably got some pics somewhere (rod bought it off me)
i didnt do the conversion, but apart from the wiring and general lack of access (what do you expect with a v6 van ffs?!?!) its pretty good
the guy i bought it off said something about a diff or 2 i think, i never had any problems though

goes like stink too
v6, 1300kg and no weight over the back wheels :):)
feels really weird too when you get it sideways since your sitting right on the front wheels!

haha yeah when this van was my brothers we left powercruise cause it was raining, through the usual cop "defect harvesting" road block, out onto the highway and just let the ass end whip out and you feel like you are sitting on the hinges of a big gate watching everything rotate around you. so much fun. Windy days were awesome in that thing, "HOLY SHIT MAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING" (my mate to me cause I'm hanging off the steering wheel) - then realises I'm in the other lane cause the wind put me there and I'm trying to fight it.
Last time I had the L300 up on the hoist I was sussing out how they go about using the front ends for hot rod conversions. must flip the rack upside down or something?

yeah at the crank. naa not interested in draggin it. Its the daily driver im not interested in thrashing it down the quater. I just enjoy the instant lag free power at the pedal. You wouldnt beleave how strangled these things are stock. I think it was 3 mufflers and 3 cats. 2 on the drivers side pipe with 4 oxygen sensors

Bloke at work has a VE thats been seriously molested by Walkinshaw - its just fucking furious.. our calais s/charged 6 banger has been a pile of shit since we got it, but fixed a whole bunch of issues with it and even for a laggy (push.. wait.. wait THERE WE GO) 4 speed auto. it goes surprisingly well now. but its a moderately quicker pile of shit.
Jumped in a 5L I'v been fixing for a girl all week and that was enough to get me hankerin for my LJ to be finished. Did the work for free so I figured I earned the right to hang off it a bit up the road doing fishies for old times sake ;)
