A total kick in the guts for me, it ruined my morning. One of the kings of metal, one of my heroes, and such a nice bloke. He'll be sadly missed.

I discovered DIO via KSE - holy diver.. I still can't decide which version is better, but Tenacious D draw alot of insipration from DIO and Jack Black shoulda been born 20+ years earlier.
I only just downloaded the entire DIO discography too

.. creepy lyrics, pretty sure this was done a while ago - sums up what I think of Tenacious D, apart from mucking around alot during their shows - they know how it should be done! -

He was touring up until last year mate with Heaven and Hell (the remaining members of Black Sabbath). My brother saw them in the UK and said Ronnie was still awesome live.

I downloaded a pretty aweseome discography of DIO. copying it for a mate who said he also went to the Heaven and Hell tour and couldn't believe he was standing 3 rows back from the original Black Sabbath line up.
