Thanks, I'll have a look. Good old RACV bloke used jump leads to get it going, put a 'test thingy' on and said it was fine. When she got home I put on a volt meter...12v @ 3000rpm....mmmmm.

Mind you not as bad as an FJ12 I had....17.8 volts !!! no wonder the battery split open !!

So I charged the battery up to test the charging circuit properley.....and bingo 14.5v :D
Then wifey reveals that the Kwack shop bloke said sommat about leaving the parking light on."What parking light [?] ?" she says.....The one after the steering lock position !!!!!!!!!!!! OOPS [:I]

I was gonne suggest you look at Electrex units, they're about the best you can get for older Jap bikes, they actually fixed up the original design faults in'em, but thought I'd wait till you'd had a chance to check it properly.

Cheap fix at least mate, one recharge, and one clip around the ear? :D
